Studies in Classical Music
He was born in 1991 and grew up in Greece. He came in contact with the accordion at an early age while attending the Music School of Serres. He received his first musical impulses by listening and playing Greek music, rebetiko and traditional music of the region where he grew up (Northern Greece). At the same time, he obtained a degree in Harmony in the class of Charalambos Karamanidis at the Conservatory of the Association of Friends, Letters and Arts of Serres.
He then studied classical accordion (bayan) at the University of Macedonia, Thessaloniki, Bachelor, with Konstantinos Rapti (2009-2013) and at the University of Music of Anovero (HMTMH), Master, with Elsbeth Moser (2013-2016). For his postgraduate studies he received a scholarship from the Alexander S. Onassis Foundation. He has also been awarded scholarships by the I.K.Y. (for his admission with the highest grade in Pa.Mak., T.MET.), the “Stiftung für die HMTMH” and the music scholarship “Christos Stamatiou” of the Municipality of Serres among others. He has participated in classical accordion seminars with Claudio Jacomucci, Geir Draugsvoll, Klemen Leben.
His special interest in contemporary music has led him to collaborate with composers such as: Manos Tsagaris, Pericles Liakakis, Apostolis Koutsogiannis, Petros Livadas, Danbi Jeung, Sebastian Diakakis, Roni Brenner. Furthermore, he has participated in seminars or groups of contemporary free improvisation with the coordinators Antonis Anissegos, Corina Eikmeier, Thymios Attzakas, James Wylie and Snezana Nesic.
During the period 2016-2019 he lived in Buenos Aires coming in contact with tango and learning bandoneon. He studied at the Conservatorio Superior de Música ¨Manuel de Falla¨ with Rodolfo Daluisio and Julio Coviello as teachers and playing in the Conservatory’s tango and folclore orchestra (CSMMF) under the guidance of pianist Adrian Enriquez. He recorded albums with two bands he created in Buenos Aires, ¨Anámnezy¨ and ¨Kalo Chiriklo¨ (the latter with the Mecenazgo scholarship from the Buenos Aires government). He has collaborated with artists such as Walter Romero, Brian Chambouleyron, Ana Moraitis, Shirlene Silva Oliveira, Myriam Nana Henne-Adda.
In 2019-2020 she participates in the production ¨4 seasons¨ of the Alternative Stage of the National Opera House.
She has participated in Balkan accordion seminars with Petar Ralchev and Dimos Vougioukas as well as in the traditional music ensembles of the University of Macedonia with teachers such as Socrates Sinopoulos and Thymios Attzakas. During his stay in Argentina he taught Greek music at the ¨Fundación Helénica en Argentina¨ foundation.
He has received the 2nd prize in the 1st Panhellenic Accordion Competition (2012) and the 1st prize in the Chamber Music Competition of the University of Macedonia (2012).
His desire to know the music in the environment in which they were born and developed made him live and move in different countries playing and interacting with musicians coming from all over the world. He has given concerts of solo, chamber music or with various musical groups in Greece, Germany, Argentina, England (Cambridge), France, Chile, Switzerland, Austria, Croatia, Croatia, Serbia and Switzerland. He speaks English, German and Spanish.
In the Preliminary and Lower classes the lesson lasts 40 minutes, in the Middle 60 minutes and in the Upper 80 minutes per week and the lesson is individual.
