Studies in Classical Music
In order to be admitted to this class, the student must have completed the music theory, the fourth class of solfege and the first class of harmony, with a grade of at least very good.

The class is taught individually and is 50 minutes/week.
In addition, in order to obtain a Bachelor of Music degree, the student is required to attend the following general courses: Harmony, Piano (up to intermediate level), Music History, Morphology, Practical Instruction, and optional violin or wind instrument.
The duration of study is 2 years. Upon completion of the studies, the student takes part in a graduation examination. Upon successful completion of these examinations, he/she receives a diploma recognized by the State.
The term Harmony describes the set of rules that govern the simultaneous hearing of two or more phonemes, i.e. habituation. As a lesson, it studies the composition of chords (accents), as well as the connection between them.
It is intended for students over 12 years of age who have completed the compulsory theory and solfege courses.
The lesson is individual and the duration is 50 minutes/week.
In addition, in order to obtain the Diploma of Harmony Specialist, the student is required to attend the following general courses: Solfege, History of Music (2 years), Morphology (1 year), Piano (up to middle school), Counterpoint (1 year), Choir, Practical teaching
The duration of study is 3 years. Upon completion of the studies, the student takes part in a graduation examination. Upon successful completion of these examinations, he/she receives a diploma recognized by the State.
Counterpoint is the simultaneous habituation of many different melodies, which are harmoniously connected with each other, based on specific rules for each season. In polyphonic or antistatic writing, each melody retains its melodic and rhythmic independence. It is addressed to students – holders of the Diploma of Harmony Specialist with a grade of at least ‘GOOD’.
Within the course, students study the genres of simple counterpoint, harmonizing choruses, composing alliterative canons, quintuple spatial, four-part and double choruses.
Classes are held individually, once a week and last 50 minutes.
In order to obtain a Bachelor of Music in Counterpoint, the student is required to take the following general courses: Solfege, History of Music (2 years), Piano (up to middle school), Counterpoint (1 year), Choir, Practical Teaching,
Organology.
The duration of study is 2 years. Upon completion of studies, the student takes part in a graduation examination. Upon successful completion of these examinations, he/she receives a degree recognized by the State.
The term fuga comes from the Latin word fuga, which means flight, flight or escape. It refers to polyphonic musical works that use imitation between voices based on a central idea, which is the theme of the fugue. The imitation is followed by elaboration of the theme. It is aimed at students – holders of the Diploma in Counterpoint with a grade of at least ‘GOOD’.
As part of the course students compose tonal and real fugue.
The course is held individually, once a week and the duration is 50 minutes.
In order to obtain the Fugue Diploma the student is required to attend the following general courses: History of Music (2 years), Piano (up to middle school), Orchestration
The duration of study is 2 years. On completion of the studies, the student takes part in a graduation examination. Upon successful completion of these examinations, he/she receives a diploma recognized by the State.
In the course of Composition the student deals with the processing and composition of various musical forms. It is addressed to students – holders of the Fugue Degree with a grade of at least ‘GOOD’.
The course is held individually, once a week and the duration is 50 minutes.
The duration of the course is 4 years. Upon completion of the studies, the student takes part in a Diploma examination. Upon successful completion of these examinations, he/she receives a Diploma recognized by the State.
In the Wind Instrumentation section the student learns to write music for various wind ensembles (quartets, quintets and other wind ensembles, etc.) or a symphonic band.
The exercises are: the transposition of a piano or orchestral piece for band or, conversely, of a piece for band or orchestra in piano form.
The lesson is given individually, once a week and lasts 50 minutes.
A placement exam with knowledge of second harmony is required for a student to be admitted to the Enorchestra class.
As long as the student is a graduate, with a degree in Harmony, Counterpoint or Fugue, he/she is enrolled in the first year without a qualifying examination.
Compulsory courses are: Harmony, Piano, History of Music, Choir Conducting, Practical Instruction, Morphology and Choir.
The duration of study is 2 years. Upon completion of the studies, the student takes part in a Diploma examination. Upon successful completion of these examinations, he/she receives a Diploma recognized by the State.
