The soprano Ekaterini-Nektaria Krassa was born in Athens in 1987. She graduated from the Department of Theatre Studies of the University of Patras and obtained her Diploma in Monody from the National Conservatory of Athens, from the class of Eleni Liona, with an A with distinction and first prize. She is a graduate of the Opera Studio of the N.L.S. where she took part in concerts in Athens and abroad. She has taken part in seminars on opera technique and interpretation, in the international Theatre Master Class by Ryszard Nieoczym as well as in the international workshop of Theodoros Terzopoulos’ method. In recent years he has been studying with the deep-voiced Dimitris Kavrakos. She has participated in professional training and lifelong learning programmes at the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens in the fields of Clinical Psychology of Children and Adolescents and Special Education and has participated in workshops on Theatre Play – Theatre Pedagogy and Music and Motor Education through the Orff and MusiGenius methods. She has collaborated with the E.L.S. for the productions “L’amante di tutte” by B. Galuppi, “Madama Butterfly” by G. Puccini, “La Traviata” by G. Verdi, “Werther” by J. Massenet, “Attention! The prince is getting dirty” by N. Kypourgos. He has participated in the 12th Aegina Music Festival in the opera Pimpinone by G. Ph. Telemann as well as in the Opera Gala with the Symphony Orchestra of the Municipality of Thessaloniki at the M.M.Th. Vukanos at the M.M.A., “Magic Flute in the Land of the Elves” (an adaptation of W. A. Mozart’s Magic Flute) at educational institutions and in the performance of the musical dream drama Metamorphoses of the Theocharakis Foundation’s participatory opera cycle.
